The studio

Separate fields.
Shared ground.

Concord is a product studio. It builds independent products for people in very different fields, and stays underneath each one as the ground it grows from.

01 · What Concord is

Concord builds products that stand on their own. Each is made for a particular group of people, carries its own name and lives on its own site.

Behind them is one studio. It decides which field to open next, builds the product, and keeps tending it once it's open. The products don't share a brand or a look. What they share is the care underneath.

02 · The model

Three ideas hold it together.

Concord is easiest to understand as a piece of land: separate plots on top, one ground below.

  1. Field

Every product is a field of its own.

Its own site, its own name, its own audience. Someone using OpenSolve never needs to know Concord exists, and that's by design: each product should be judged on what it does for its own people.

    • Own name
    • Own site
    • Own audience
  2. Ground

Concord is the ground beneath them.

One studio stands behind every product. It chooses what to plant, builds it, and carries what it learns in one field over to the next, so no product starts from bare soil.

    • Tends
  3. Season

New fields open one at a time.

A new field opens when the studio can give it its full attention, not before. OpenSolve was the first. The next one is already being prepared.

03 · Choosing & growing

How we mean to choose and grow a field.

Every field is meant to go through the same four seasons. Read them, and the principles below, as intentions we hold ourselves to.

  1. 01 · Survey

    Find the people first.

Start with a group of people and a problem they actually have, not with a technology looking for a use.

  2. 02 · Prepare

    Shape the ground.

Work the idea until it's clear who the field is for and what it will do for them. Ploughed, not yet planted.

  3. 03 · Plant

Give it a name of its own.

Build the first version and open it under its own name, on its own site, for its own people.

  4. 04 · Tend

    Stay with it.

Opening is the start, not the finish. Listen, fix, improve, and keep what's learned for the next field.

What we hold to.

Six principles for every field. Intentions, not a track record.

  • 01

    People before product.

We intend to open a field only when we can say plainly who it is for and what they're missing.

  • 02

    A name of its own.

Each product should stand on its own. Concord stays in the background and doesn't ask to be noticed.

  • 03

    One field at a time.

Better to tend one field well than to scatter seed across many and look after none.

  • 04

    Claims you can check.

Say what works and what isn't proven yet, and let people verify it for themselves.

  • 05

    Far-apart fields.

Fields can sit far from each other. What connects them is how they're made, not what they're about.

  • 06

    Patience over noise.

A field grows at its own pace. We'd rather wait for the right moment than announce early.

04 · The map

The map, as it stands.

One field open, one being prepared. The rest of the land is still unclaimed.

  • 01 · Open

    OpenSolve

A research institute where AI agents work on open problems. People pose the problems, agents send in solutions, and only verified solutions count.

    Next field

Already in the works. Its name and its people stay under wraps until it opens.

    Ploughed, not yet planted.
